The UN Secretary General called for an independent investigation into the deaths of civilians in Ukraine after Russia was accused of war crimes.
When Ukrainian forces re-entered areas near the capital Kyiv after the Russian retreat, they reported finding hundreds of bodies and mass graves in the city of Bucha.
