Russian MP says Putin’s plan for Ukraine was not presented to their parliament

A politician from President Putin’s United Russia party said the military campaign in Ukraine was “absolutely” going according to plan, before adding that the plan had not been presented to their parliament.

Maria Butina, a member of the Russian State Duma, told HARDtalk’s Steven Sakur that the operation could go faster if Moscow wanted it, but the forces are careful not to harm civilians.

The UN Human Rights Office said Tuesday that 1,179 civilians have been killed and 1,860 injured since Russia launched its attack on Ukraine.
