The Guardian publishes an address by the President of Ukraine to the Israeli parliament, in which he links the Kremlin’s offensive with the extermination of Jews during World War II. The leader challenged Israel over its failure to impose sanctions on Russia in what the newspaper calls an “uncompromising appeal” to the Knesset. Zelensky, a Jew, claimed via video link that Putin is waging “an all-out war, illegal, aimed at destroying our people, our country, our cities, our culture and our children. Everything that makes Ukrainians Ukrainians.”
